Meet Your Lansing Athletic Trainer
Julie Ascher, MEd, LAT, ATC
Julie has been an integral part of the athletic program at Lansing High School since 2011. She works closely with coaches and parents to ensure student athletes are prepared to perform at their maximum potential, but most of all that they are safe and injury-free. She joined The University of Kansas Hospital's Sports Medicine & Performance Center in July 2015.
She is originally from Salina, Kansas and has a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science, Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training and a Master of Education in Exercise Science from Wichita State University. She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Society, Mid America Athletic Trainers' Association and Kansas Athletic Trainers' Society.
She is a certified Turbo Kick instructor and enjoys cooking, going to movies and shopping. She plays the piano and clarinet and was a dance instructor for three years in Wichita. She also completed an internship in nuclear cardiology.
